The rest of our Easter weekend (over a week ago) was fantastic. All of the E family were up for dinner on Saturday. Our friend Kelli & Miss Ava joined us for dinner as well. K's husband is deployed through late July. There was no way we were going to let her sit home and not do anything special for Easter. Besides it is so nice to have a little girl around the house. Grammy jumped at the chance to feed & hold Ava. She is getting ready for grandbaby 2. Sunday morning everyone was gone and the house wasn't too bad, so we rested in our pjs all day long!
The week was filled with nothing exciting, well except baby appt #1. All is good. We saw the heartbeat. Other than that he/she looks like a tadpole. Morning sickness has set in, ugh... MrE is on the homerun stretch. Two weeks left!!! Helping them prepare for his departure and following inspection has him working late. His poor relief is wondering what he got himself in to... But two weeks for us, WOO-HOO!!! We've had our Gymboree music class & play-learn class. This weekend it was so beautiful here in VB. We strolled along the oceanfront boardwalk in the sunny 76 degree weather on Saturday. We also popped into some of the open houses in our neighborhood. We found our dream house. One day when the Navy doesn't have us moving every 1-3 years. Sunday we made a trip to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, which were beautiful.. There is a kids section with little water fountains bubbling up out of the ground. Loved it!
We have some lunch & play dates later this week. And hopefully before we know it, the weekend will be here and MrE will have one week left on the current ship. I may be caught singing from the balcony, slightly off key. Not speeding by is tonight with all of the tornado warnings. Ugh... Where does one go if their first level is a foyar and garage with exterior walls? We live on the water, so there is no basement either... Stupid warnings! It's going to be a long night.
