Busch Gardens

Before heading to MA again we met some of our friends at Busch Gardens for the day. While most of the park was out of Bean's league, Elmo's Forrest made it well worth the trip. You could not wipe the excitement off of his face as he ran through the water park. The BG here in Williamsburg is BG Europe, which we had no idea. We made our way to Ireland and was able to listen to some live Irish music. This had Connor dancing away. He also got to meet Elmo and go on a choo-choo ride. JR had friends to go on the roller coaster and I had AL to chat with when they ran off for the big rides. Did I mention that Anheiser-Busch has a 'Salute the Heroes' program which allows active duty military & their family to get into each of their parks free once a year, this includes Busch Gardens & Sea World! Thank you AB! We had a very happy 21 m/o that slept all night long!

Happy Easter

Well we're back from Easter weekend in NC with the E side of the family. Before we left I decided that I would indoctrinate Bean into the world of egg coloring. All in all, things went well. He only rolled one egg on to the floor while shouting "ball!" There was minimal dye on me, Bean and the table. I'd have to say that qualifies as a successfull experience! Friday afternoon we got on the road to NC. After a little traffic & 7 hrs we arrived at Grammy & Grampy's with two very tired munchkins. Saturday we ventured off to Lazy 5 Ranch. We had a picnic. Well all but daddy and Bean... There was a big playground right next to the picnic tables. So all attempts to feed Bean were just that, attempts. He did try to eat later on the hayride, but the food for the animals was not our idea of an acceptable lunch. *sigh*

Easter morning we woke up to an Easter Egg hunt! Bean was ready to run off and play as soon as his feet hit the yard. It took a bit to get him into the hunting mode, but once he realized there were toys in some of the eggs he was hooked. I have a feeling he may try hunting for more eggs this week. We'll see how our walks go... After a short morning and a short trip, we piled back in the car to make the drive back to VA Beach.

On a side note I have to say I am so thankful for portable dvd players!!! It made the long drive much more bareable! We may know all of the words to Toy Story 1 & Toy Story 2, but there weren't many meltdowns.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!!
