So I'm driving along tonight... "la, la-la, laaa..." Actually I was more like, "blah, blah, blah..." because I was on the phone with my friend. When all of a sudden the light caught a white speckle on my visor. Said speckle moved... Now I'm trying to drive while looking up and attempting to convince myself that the moving speckle is not a spider. Unfortunately, what else would it be? So, I tell the friend I have to put her down, but I put her on speaker in case I need her help. Someone will have to call 911 if this speckle desides to attack. Did I mention that I am deathly afraid of spiders? Absolutely terrified.
Flashback: My sister once chased me around the house with nothing more than a black string hanging out of a tissue claiming it to be the remains of a spider I had seen. I screamed. I cried. My mom laughed and couldn't help. Very traumatic. That is going off subject though...
So anyway, spider in the car. Driving home from class. Removing the spider was an absolute necessity. There was no way we could of shared the same space. He was within 12 inches from my head. As I start to look around I realize it may be a very good idea to pull over while conducting mission remove moving speckle. So I pulled over. The mission was a success. I trapped the perpatrator in a tissue and I was safe from any attack.
As this is happening the friend puts her 4 year old daughter on the phone who starts asking questions... I asked if she was afraid of spiders. Affirmative. Then I asked if she would have been able to help me. Her response, "Oh it is way past my bed time." Smart girl! She did say I should throw the spider out the window so he couldn't escape in the car again. I did. Like I said, smart girl!
